NARB, Milwaukee Brewers
05/08
We are NARB. NARB first popped up around 1996. In the beginning NARB
was only moderate in size. A score or so of high school friends that
would gather in the Giants 1 parking lot on opening day to watch the
likes of Wes Helms, Eric Young and Brady Clark try to lead our
Brewers to victory. In recent years, as the team has gotten better,
NARB has gotten much bigger. So much so that the organizers were no
longer able to get the proper amount of Opening Day tickets to
satisfy the demand. So for the past 3 years, in addition to the
annual Opening Day party, NARB has thrown a tailgate party on a
Saturday in early April to accommodate those who can either not get
tickets to opening day, or are unable to skip work to attend. The
majority of the attendees are connected through four brothers from
Brookfield, WI. The goal of the tailgate is to bring as many of our
friends and family out to Miller Park to celebrate the Brewers and to
have a good time. NARB is like that because NARB likes everyone.
Except the Cubs. NARB believes that veneration of the Chicago Cubs is
one of the roots of our current intellectual stalemate.
This year, we had 307 game tickets and ended up with about 330
tailgating with us. We served 350 Hot Dogs and 300 Brats (Klements,
the official sausage of the Brewers, of course), 7 cases of water, 7
cases of soda, and we provided 13 kegs of Miller Lite.
