Tailgater Monthly and the Green & Gold Gang kicked off the "2008 Green & Gold Tailgater Tour" August 11 at Champions Sports Bar & Grill in Green Bay. Located just a quick walk from Lambeau Field, Champions Sports Bar & Grill, filled with Packer Memorabilia, is the perfect venue to host this year's Tour. With a huge outside venue, this will be the largest and best 4 hour pre-game tailgating party in all of Green Bay.
The entertainment is headlined with the "Happy Schnapps Combo" , who are without question recognized as the ultimate Packer-Backing, Polka-Partying "show-band" on the planet (and elsewhere!). This high energy band knows how to draw and entertain a crowd, while "Mad Dog & Merrill" will be providing live grilling demonstrations. With 28 years in the Tailgating and Grilling Biz, Mad Dog & Merrill are a couple of crazy dudes who want nothing more than to make everyone a better griller. And then of course, the entire Green & Gold Gang will be there, headed up by Lewie Limburger, Joe Lunchbucket, St. Vince, and "Select Cheesettes" along with a cast of other "knuckleheads".
During this 4 hour pre-game event, numerous tailgating products and prizes will be awarded from our many Tour sponsors. And if that isn't enough, stop on by to register to win a pair of "Game Day" tickets and sit with Lewie Limburger and the gang at the game on the 50 yard line at Lambeau Field. Truly a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity for any football or tailgating fan.
